My mages are based on the lore developed in the Mage Slave series written by R.K. Thorne, but all other information regarding them is that of my own making. Disclaimer: the series does have intense themes of slavery, with one kingdom having enslaved all mages in their territory via star magic branding; the main character and love interest fight a war to free the mages from their enslavement, using star magic to free them (which air mages can draw upon). None of my muses will be written as slaves, nor as former slaves. I merely like the mage lore developed by R.K. Thorne. I in no way condone nor wish to promote slavery.

IX: mage lore
Air: Air mages are considered some of the most powerful, able to manipulate weather patterns (i.e. stopping rain, calling it down, controlling or summoning lightning), summon and control fire, and even scry over great distances.
Creature: Creature mages are considered less useful by other mages, but are quite powerful in their own right. They manipulate life force energy for their spellcasting, and can read the life energy of others. They can communicate mentally with other creatures, including humans, mind-to-mind, and are able to transform themselves into animals or otherwise morph their appearance at will.

Hermione: Simply stated this blog is VERY anti-JKR. This is a welcoming space for the POC and LGBTQIA+ community. I'll be writing Hermione as bisexual and using a POC FC. The core message of the Harry Potter novels was anti-bigotry and even the author being a bigot cannot take that away from us.
I have opted for a POC FC for Hermione, Antonia Gentry, to honor her casting in the stage productions. I still adore Emma Watson and will likely feature content of her on this blog, particularly gifsets from the movies and things like that as a character reference / study. These will be tagged with an alternate tag including "Emma W." Despite this content being featured at times, my FC will remain Antonia Gentry for all memes, threads, edits, etc. Any content specifically created by ME for this blog will feature Antonia. 1. The show portrays Clary as very confident, but in the books she tends to be less self-assured and doubt herself, especially in romantic relationships.
2. There's lots of tech in the show. In the novels, Shadowhunters don't even usually have cell phones. Clary's only just managed to convince her friends to invest in a laptop.
3. The angel Raziel kills Valentine, not Clary.
4. In the show, Clary loses her memories instead of Simon sacrificing them to save his friends. This is particularly sad to me because there's a beautiful parallel between Clary's memories of the Shadow World being taken from her as a child and Simon sacrificing them as an adult.
